My Health Philosophy

Throughout my 20 years practicing primary care internal medicine I valued every opportunity I had to enhance wellness through attainable lifestyle and behavior change. Those goals align with my current programs where I provide general educational sessions about specific health conditions, or work one on one with clients to help them reach a specific health goal.

When you make lifestyle changes that improve your health, you are not just improving blood sugar, you are gaining energy. You are not just reducing stress, you are increasing meaningful interactions at work and home. You are not just getting fit, you are gaining the mobility needed to travel, keep up with family and friends, and say “yes” to people.

When you evaluate your “whole” health, your objectives are more likely to align with your values. That alignment is what makes goals realistic, successful change more likely, and results more durable.

By understanding your own health conditions, you can focus on what you can optimize about your health, which means you are back in the driver’s seat.

The current medical landscape is complex. Not only do I help clients understand evidence based approaches to common health conditions, I levy the experience of years of working with patients to engage in practical, thoughtful approaches to life change. We are all constantly learning from each other.

By learning your strengths, you are more likely to improve resilience and learn skills you can apply to future lifestyle changes.
